World Nomads cover is focused on looking after you while you are away and this includes most snow related activities.

Snowboarding or Heli-boarding

Piste, off-piste and cross-country boarding are covered providing you don't put yourself in serious danger. Your ski equipment (board, boots bindings etc) is covered while in transit or in your locked room. You may even use a helicopter to get you to a point as a passenger but you must disembark the helicopter on the ground. You can't commence boarding from the helicopter (Doh!)

What we cover

Equipment

Your ski equipment (board, boots bindings etc) is not covered while in use, but is covered for accidental theft or damage. There is a up to a per-item limit of $250AUD which you can increase for important items of winter sports equipment by selecting World Nomads PLUS which increases cover for these items up to a maximum of AUD $3,000 with a single item limit of AUD $1,000.

Cancellation

If you have to cancel your transport, accommodation or other pre-booked arrangements due to an unforeseen and unforeseeable circumstance outside your control, you can claim for the non-refundable cancellation costs up to A$10,000. (see claim stories below).

Medical & dental cover

Following an injury your policy covers reasonable costs for Medical, in-hospital, road ambulance and other treatment administered by a registered medical practitioner or paramedic up to $5 million AUD. You also are covered for up to $500 AUD of emergency dental treatment for costs to relieve sudden and acute pain following an injury to healthy natural teeth whilst overseas.
